John Throckmorton [1826-1907] - husband of Nancy Elizabeth Lazear, son of Morford Throckmorton and Nancy Simpson. Handwritten inscription on page reads, "John Throckmorton, aged 22 years. The Throckmorton-Bentley Genealogy Series of the Dr. Jeannette Franc Throckmorton Collection consists of selected items from a hand-typed manuscript, given as a Christmas gift to Jeannette's sister, Daisy, in 1914. Included among these pages are photographs, letters, articles, pieces of cloth and lace, and other items preserved from the family history. Along with the Throckmortons are documented the Crows, Lazears, Bentleys, Days, Scotts, Sutphins, and Howards, primarily of Pennsylvania and Iowa. The original book is in the possession of a descendant of Jeannette and Daisy's beloved brother Charley. These descendants have transcribed and digitized the complete book, which is now available as a Kindle book from Amazon and as a free downloadable PDF from Greene Connections.
