The house was built in 1906, by Grace's parents, Robert Ratcliffe Headley and his wife, Nancy Annabelle (Jacobs) Headley. After the Headley-Daugherty ownership, the house was owned by the family of Judge Glenn Jacob Roy Thornton Toothman Jr. and his wife, Katherine Jane (Throckmorton) Toothman.
Across Morris Street, is the house known as "Sayers Manor," which was once the home of Alfred Brashear and Margaret (Bell) Miller, early leaders of Waynesburg College.Collection
