Notes

The Staggers Series photographs were originally owned by James Ellsworth Staggers [1863-1940] and his wife, Amanda McVay [1858-1931], and later divided among their children who added to the collection from their own families. At a family reunion descendants shared and exchanged copies of the original images each had come to own so that all had copies. Contributing cousins were: Charlene (Fessler) Theiss and Karen (Fessler) Sammeter - daughters of Mary Elizabeth (Staggers) Fessler; Roy Staggers, Debbie (Staggers) Whiting and Sandra (Staggers) Burris - children of Roy Earl Staggers Jr.; Penny (Staggers) Coy - daughter of Raymond L. Staggers; Russell Don Patterson - son of Betty (Staggers) Patterson; Peggy (Staggers) Metzger, Donna Staggers and Carolyn "Connie" (Staggers) Andersen - daughters of Herbert Roscoe Staggers. Digital scans were assembled by Carolyn "Connie" (Staggers) Andersen for submission to the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project between 2009 and 2012.
