Frame structure, formally located on Washington Street behind the Messenger Building, the latter of which still stands on the corner of High and Washington Streets in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennylvania. The rooster on the rooftop was a symbol of the Waynesburg Messenger newspaper. The Waynesburg Messenger was owned by William Thompson Hays Pauley [1820-1897] and later his son John Flenniken Pauley Sr. [1858-1929].

The Pauley-Thompson Album and corresponding loose photos once belonged to the family of John Flenniken Pauley [1858-1929] and his wife, Margaret Virginia Thompson [1855-1937]. The album was found in a building set for demolition and was donated to the Cornerstone Genealogical Society (144 E. Greene St., PO Box 547; Waynesburg, Pennsylvania 15370). Shared with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2007.
