2009.4.55Description
Home of Judge James Inghram and Mary (Black) Inghram (formerly the home of her father Charles A. Black and family) next to the R. H. Goldberg Building (built 1925) on High Street (block between Morris Street and Fruit Alley) in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
Miller Hall (Waynesburg College) can be seen in the background.
As of 2009, the PNC Bank is located just beyond the location of the Inghram house in the area that was the yard of the home.
Across the street from the Inghram house, foundation stones remain from what was likely a frame building known as the Johnson House (tavern, hotel) which was destroyed by fire in 1924. The John F. Reagan Building, which still stands, was built on this site in 1935. It served as the office location of Edward Jones, before the Greene County Messenger / Herald Standard offices took up residence there in 2014.
