Real-photo postcard labeled "High Street, West From Fort Jackson Hotel" in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
On the corner of High and Washington Streets, the Fort Jackson Hotel and its neighor to the right, replaced the Downey House and Grossman Building which were destroyed by fire 23 December 1925. The next building is the second incarnation of the Silveus Building, the original having been destroyed after the fire when the west wall of the Grossman Building collapsed. The fourth structure is the Wisecarver Building after a dramatic reduction that removed the upper floors.
