Description

Carte-de-visite photograph of Anna Ruth (Baily) Luse - wife of George Franklin Luse, daughter of Ellis B. Baily and Harriet Gaddis. Caption reads, "Anna Baily Luse – H=Geo. F. Luse, Sister of J. Ewing Baily." Original, professional photograph from T. W. Rogers, Carmichaels, Pa. Mitchener Album 01, Photo 28. Based on the identified photographs and an inscription that reads, "Album presented to Lee I. Mitchener by F. M. Mitchener," we believe the Mitchener Album originally belonged to Ida Leonis "Lee" Mitchener [1857-1924], daughter of William B. Mitchener and Mary Way. The album passed to Lee's sister Harriet Eldora "Dora" (Mitchener) Baily, whose descendants have preserved it in original order.
