2011.2.155Description
In the left-foreground, located on the southeast corner of Wayne and Morris Streets, stands Sayers Manor. Sayers Manor is named for the Lewis Wetzel Sayers Sr. family who lived there in the late 1800s - early 1900s. The property had formerly belonged to Alfred Brashear and Margaret Kerr (Bell) Miller, early leaders of Waynesburg College. The house faced College Park across Wayne Street.
Further down the street is the home of Robert R. & Nancy Annabelle (Jacobs) Headley, built 1906, later owned by their daughter, Grace Edna (Headley) Daugherty, with her husband Norval Rogers Daugherty, and as of 2018 owned by the Toothman family. The houses faces Ritchie Park across Wayne Street.Collection
