Lewis Parry (a/k/a Lewis Perry), Civil War discharge, dated 10 July 1865. "To all whom it may concern, Know ye, That Lewis Perry, a Saddler of Captain Guy Bryan Jr.'s Company A 18th Regiment of Penna. Cavalry Volunteers, who was enrolled on the eighth day of September one thousand eight hundred and sixty two to serve three years or during the war, is hereby Discharged from the service of the United States this tenth day of July 1865, at Cumberland, Maryland by reason of Genl. Order No. 83 War Dept. (No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.) Said Lewis Perry was born in Greene County in the State of Pennsylvania, is twenty five years of age, five feet five inches high, fair complexion, grey eyes, dark hair, and by occupation, when enrolled, a farmer. Given at Cumberland Md. this tenth day of July 1865. Guy Bryan Jr. Capt. 18th Penna. Cav. Comdg. Co. A"
