Description

Carte-de-visite. Handwritten inscription on reverse of image has two parts. The first is an older penciled inscription that is very hard to read, it appears to say, "Maggie, [Louise or Frances or another name very hard to decipher] & Jimmie." A second darker notation seems to rewrite the first as, "Maggie [blank space] and Jimmie" and adding "1872." This image was found among Waynesburg College alumni photographs, the years on the images are generally references to the year of graduation as opposed to the year the photograph was taken. Original, professional photograph by A. Wallace, Photographer, Waynesburgh, Pa.
