Carte-de-Visite photograph of Nancy (McGinnis) Garrett [1813-1881] - wife of Peter Garrett, daughter of John McGinnis & Sarah Clark. There is a 3 cent tax stamp on the back side indicating that the CDV dates to the Civil War, probably between 1 August 1864 and 1 March 1865 during the time when a tax stamp higher than 1 cent was used. Original, professional photograph from J. S. Young, Washington, Pa.
