"Somewhere in France / July 13, '18. / Dear Mother & all: - Well / we took another jump / since I wrote last but / not a very big one. / We are now camping / in a woods. I guess / I won't feel at home / when I get back unless / I take my little tent / and go to Dr. Grimes' / woods and live. / It's very pleasant / though only it's rained / every day & night since / we've been here and / rather muddy sometimes."

The Marilyn (Brewer) Eichenlaub Collection was passed from Glenn James Brewer [1897-1982] and his wife, Faye Irene Hickman [1900-1973], to their daughter, Marilyn (Brewer) Eichenlaub, who owned and shared the collection with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project, between 2006 and 2009.
