Three graduates from the Waynesburg Female Seminary, Class of 1856. [Left-Right]: BACK – Sarah (Helphenstine) McCormick; FRONT - Elizabeth Jane (Ulery) Treat, Minerva (Lindsey) (Freeman) McGlumphy. Reproduction by Clarence F. Long, Waynesburg, Pa. The original image, which has not been located, was most likely a cased daguerreotype or ambrotype. A note on the reproduction says that the original was donated to Waynesburg College by Leah Garland (McKahan) (Carothers) Ellenberger (Class of 1922). Leah was the niece of Sarah (Helphenstine) McCormick.
