Tintype photograph.
BACK ROW - Believed to be one of the sons of John R. Patton and Anna Adelia Brown;
FRONT ROW - Anna Adelia (Brown) Patton [1828-1919] with her youngest daughter, Elizabeth Lillian "Lizzie" (Patton) Cornog.
Handwritten captions on front of photograph matting read, (1) "Lizzie Cornog" and (2) "When I was a little girl."
The man's identification was thought to be John R. Patton [1822-1881]; however, he would be about 48 years old at the time of this photograph, which seems too old for the man pictured.
The Patton sons would have been the following ages circa 1870: Joseph, about 23; John Houston, about 20; Samuel Arthur, about 18; James Slocum, about 16.
