The James Arthur Fenske Collection was passed from David Buchanan [1844-1933] and his wife, Mary Ann Rinehart [1859-1931], to their surviving children, William Arthur Buchanan [1881-1963] and Lettie Harriet (Buchanan) Fenske [1892-1985], to Lettie's son James Arthur Fenske who owned and shared the collection with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project between 2002 and 2009.
