Notes

The framed portrait was very likely originally owned by Bessie Beryl (Ullom) Ketchem, first wife of Charles Daugherty Ketchem. Her name is written on the back of the photograph, probably indicating that she ordered this enlargement and that it was to be delivered to her. The portrait was purchased by Glenn Jacob Roy Thornton Toothman III who owned and shared the image with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2018.
