The photograph was passed from Melville Dunreath Miller [1882-1950] and his first wife, Jessie Wilmetta Rasel [1884-1916], to their daughter Iva Marie Miller [1909-2006], and her husband, Porter Ellis Herrod [1903-1970], to their son Orville George "Dick" Herrod, who owned the photograph in 2006. Shared by Dick's granddaughter Candice Lynn Buchanan with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2008.
