Believed to be Amy (Loughman) Gray [1835-1926] - wife of Laben J. Gray [1835-1908]. This potential identification is based on the context of other images from the Gray family found with this picture, as well as a comparison to an image of Amy taken late in her life, which was shared by her family. Handwritten inscription on reverse of image reads, "Sadie Blair / Waynesburg / Greene Co. Pa. / PO Box 16 / Make print 14 x 17, price 25 [cents]." This inscription seems to indicate the identity of the customer who ordered an enlargement, as opposed to the subject of the photograph. Original, professional photograph from Rogers, Waynesburg, Pa.
