Could this be Oscar Clovis [1872-1889] - son of William Clovis & Rebecca Chalfant? NOTES ON ID: This photograph was identified as Marion Jasper Clovis [1849-1928]; however, additional research, and dating of the photo show that this image was taken circa 1885, too late for this young man to be Marion. Original, professional photograph from G. W. Robinson, Partridge Joint Co., 117 Main Street, Wheeling, W. Va.

The Athaliah Frances (Clovis) Hoy Collection was passed from Marion Jasper Clovis [1849-1928] and his wife, Sarah Eliza Eakin [1852-1931], to their daughter, Athaliah Frances (Clovis) Hoy [1886-1987], then to her grandson, James Michael Hoy, who owned and shared the collection with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2008.
