Context

From the 1960s until her death, conceptual artist Eugenia P. Butler collaborated with other artists on this three-volume book set that considered two questions: "1. What is the lie with which you are most complicit? and 2. What is the truth that most feeds my life?" Volume 1 of this series considered lies in love. The artworks are made by each individual artist by the materials and methods that they most often use. Butler considered this series to be a dialogue though the visual and the poetic from artists around the world.
