This poster was made for Das Theater Münster, formerly Städtische Bühnen Münster, in Munster Germany and its production of Klau Mir Eine Kleine Milliarde (literally translating to "Grab Me a Little Billion") in 1979. The poster was “commissioned by German theater director Dr. Erdmut August who also created what may be the world's largest international theater poster archive with holdings of 16,000 different posters by many of the world's leading poster artists.

The artist, Andrzej Pagowski (1953-) is a Polish poster and graphic design artist. He is considered to be of the third generation of artists in the Polish School of Posters movement. In 1990, he created his own graphic studio, Studio P, which developed into an advertising agency, the KreacjaPro agency, in 1993 which continues in operation today. Pagowski comes from noble lineage. In 1978 he graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Applied Arts at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań. His career consists of satirical drawings, then design for all kinds of goods. At one point he was the artistic director of a Playboy-type magazine. “Andrzej Pągowski has received dozens of national awards and distinctions. In 2005, for his outstanding achievements in artistic creativity, he was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta and the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture– Gloria Artis. In 2011, he received the Medal of the National Education Commission, and in 2012, the Award of the Capital City of Warsaw.” He is considered a notable figure of the Polish School of Posters movement.
