Context

This poster was donated as part of the Rosenberg Poster Collection. The Rosenbergs specifically built a collection of post-World War II posters, a period during which Eastern European art experienced a surge in innovative graphic design, particularly in advertising for cultural events such as ballets, theater, and film. Despite being unable to find information on the process of acquiring the posters, it is easy to tell that the Rosenberg family was passionate about the acquisition, care for, and final donation of their cultivated collaboration on unique and curated works.
