Context

Skupinska creates abstract compositions made of paint formulated purely with organic materials, free of artificial substances. These are a direct result from her own day-to-day relationship to plants as a major inspiration for her work. She responds to biomorphic abstraction of Modernism, Arte Povera, and Minimalism with works made of spices, essential oils, ground plants, transforming abstractions into a multisensory experience sparked by scent and texture.
