Oregon City, Looking East from11th and Washington Streets. Barclay School in distance. In the left of the photograph is the Barclay School & Gym, also known as the high school, and the Twelfth Street School, as it stood on the block at 12th and Madison. The house to the lower middle left, with the square tower (turret), is the Edward McLinn Howell House (still standing), although, by the time this photo was taken, he had already moved to Milwaukie, where he lived during the 1900 census (JAH 12/2022) The victorian to the right of center is the Anna Howell house at 1110 Jefferson Street. It is still standing, however the second floor balcony has been enclosed. (JAH 05/2023)
