Grant B. Dimick - 1916. "Grant B. Dimick: Attorney, County Judge, Mayor of Oregon City (1900 - 1904)... and conman. On this day, May 1, 1924, Dimick packed a single leather bag and boarded a train headed towards Portland, never to be seen again- along with the $100,000 he had taken from the many people of Clackamas county for "investment purposes."
