Description

The Reverend Jacob Shaw McComb Sr.(1835-1927) and Mrs. Evelyn (Eva) Reynolds Little McComb (1841-1915). McComb is said to be an early minister of the United Brethren Church. Both are in Mountain View in Oregon City (JAH 12/2022). Eve was the widow of Abram Oscar Little, who died in Logan, Kansas, in 1887 at 59 years. Census records indicate Jacob and Eva were married in 1888. Records suggest in Kansas. This would be her second marriage and his third. I need to double-check our copy to see the context of the Davies Studio. The photograph appears to be a celebration. Perhaps their wedding? However, they were possibly married in Kansas, and the Davies Studio is listed in this database as Portland. They did not have children together, but each had children from the previous marriages (JAH 12/2022).
