Sea Scout Boat SSS Chinook is lifted from from Rocks below Willamette River Falls in Oregon City, Oregon, to river above falls. Operation completed with no mishaps by the army engineers and Clyde Straight who board boat to secure lines
**Monday, April 14th, 1952, Army Corp of Engineer' barge "Monticello" with crane is viewed lifting the boat from water. The boat and occupant went over the falls on Saturday, April 12th The occupant, John Bailey, 41, was not found when the boat was lifted from the falls. (reported in the newpaper Herald and News of Klamath Falls, Oregon)**dlk
