Evergreen, where Redland Elementary is now, was located near the same location as the current Redland school. Two other schools are associated with the "Redland" name. On the northside of Redland Rd. at the end of Sprague was a Redland School also known as Fir Grove. Another school named "Redland" was located west of the northwest corner of Ridge Rd. and Redland Rd, between the Viola School and Fir Grove. This school was once referred to (by a local Andy Larrison) as "Four Corners" since it stood near the intersection of the only four corners on Redland Rd. All in all, the other two locations are on flat terrain, very different than this school. Therefore the identifier as "Redland" was in the context of modern terms. (JAH 02/2022)
