Description

Milwaukie Main Street, 1916. On the right side corner of Main and Jackson Streets was Walter Day's hardware store. Next was Monroe's motion picture show, then Kinzel's Box Factory, next a shoe shop run by Joe Bushman. The two story building at the end of the block was the First State Bank of Milwaukie. Beyond Monroe street on the right side was John Snyder's Bakery, on the left were only two business establishments at that time. The farther one was a grocery store run by E.T. Elmer and the other a restaurant operated by Mr. and Mrs. Cash.
