English-Scotch-Irish. Married Albert P. Gaines 17 Feb 1839. Came to Oregon overland from Illinois in 1845. Located at Oregon City; Yamhill County in 1851. Methodist. Died 17 Jul 1894. First Cousin of Robert E. Lee.
