Note from Clarence L. Eaton, 615 Second Avenue, Oregon City:
On Wednesday, January 12, 1955, I called on A.A. Reck of 1424 S.E. Harney Street, Portland (Sellwood area). In January 1954 he retired as the last of the old time operators of the Portland-Oregon City Line. He took this picture in 1911 or 1912 on the car used in shuttle service between Canemah and Green Point, every half hour, transfers issued from the Portland cars. He states that the motorman standing on the front step was Herbert Brabeel and the other, the conductor standing was Andrew Telefesen. The car was standing on what is now the Pacific Highway and in front of the Blachard House, which can be seen on the hill at the right.Made/Created
