Oregon City/West Linn Arch Bridge. Photo by Ralph Eddy. Information on back: Willamette River Bridge - Particulars by C.P. Richards, C.E., Congregational Church, Thursday Evening Dec. 7, 1922. On the Pacific Highway between Oegon City and West Linn. Designed by the Oregon State Highway Commission-- C.B. McCullough, State Bridge Engineer. Built by A. Guthrie & Co., Inc., Contractors, Portland, Oregon. Total length, 850 feet. Deck above low water at mid-span, 77 feet. Main Span: Steel rib arch with gunite encasement; 350 foot span, 100 feet high. Approaches: Reinforced concrete beam and slab spans, 35 foot centres. Height of West Linn pier, rock founation to road level, 98 feet. Road: slope, 5 percent; width 18 1/2 feet. Two sidewalks, 4 3/4 feet each. Weight of steel in arch, 480 tons; reinforcing steel, 150 tons. Volume, concrete, 4,100 cubic yards. Volume, gunite, 250 cubic yards. Construction started July 29, 1921. Completed December, 1922. Constract price, $213,600. Photograph by Ralph J. Eddy.
