Gladstone Christian Church and Sunday School.
Taped to the back of the photo: "The Christian Bible school at Gladstone, Ore., was organized in 1908 by A.H. Mulkey, one of the veteran preachers of the great West. This school has enjoyed a steady growth ever since its beginning. Last Rally Day, October 5, was the biggest day in its history so far, there being 178 present in that occasion. Before Rally Day the average attendance was about 100. Since then it has ranged from 12- to 130 and is still on the upgrade. The whole school seems to have caught the vision and is looking forward to the day, not far distant, we hope, when 200 shall be the rule and Gladstone shall have the largest and most efficient Bible school in Clackamas County and one of the best in Oregon. The present misister of the church, R.L. Dunn, is teacher of the Young Men's Progressive Class, and an enthusiastic worker inthe school. The city of Gladstone, a beautiful enterpirsing little place, has only this one Bible school, and the people are fast coming to appreciate and support this splendid work. This is not the last word from Gladstone -it is going to be heard from right along.
