Oregon City post-1900 - From BluffEntry/Object ID
P-1209Description
*Date changed from 1896 to after 1900. Oregon City from the bluff after 1900. The balcony house at the lower left is the Ferdinand Wilde/Stevens House. It once stood facing Main Street at the northwest corner of 6th Street and was moved in 1900. It was owned by the Stevens Family, who lived in the house for many years until they moved up the bluff to the corner of 7th and Washington in 1890. However, they retained ownership of the property between Main Street and Railroad Avenue until Mertie Stevens died in 1968. The Wilde house was moved to accommodate a new commercial structure. It was later demolished for a larger commercial structure that exists today. JAH 9/2022Made/Created
