Pierre Monteux Memorial Foundation Archive

The Pierre Monteux Memorial Foundation was organized in Hancock, Maine, on October 17, 1964. Its mission is to perpetuate the memory, spirit, work and teachings of Pierre Monteux through education and training by its sponsorship and support of The Pierre Monteux School for Conductors and Orchestra Musicians, founded in Hancock, Maine, in 1943. During its 75th anniversary year in 2018, the name of the School was changed to the "Monteux School & Music Festival." The Pierre Monteux Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization registered in the State of Maine.
