To use Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition, you need:
- Pentium 150 MHz or higher processor
- 32MB of RAM; more memory improves performance
- Available hard-disk space required: typical installation requires approximately 270 MB of available hard-disk space (includes 100 MB average for backup files during installation), but may range between 245 MB and 435 MB (includes 125 MB for backup files during installation), depending upon system configuration and options selected
- CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
- VGA or higher-resolution monitor
- Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
Additional items or services required to use certain features:
- 28.8 or higher-baud modem or fax modem required for Internet access
- Access to the Internet through a service provider (a separate fee may be required and local and long distance telephone toll charges may apply)
- For sound:
• Sound card with speakers or headphones, OR
• USB speakers (requires PC with USB support)
- For DVD Video:
• DVD-ROM drive
• Compatible DVD decoder card or DVD decoder software
- For Windows Media Player:
