Scope and Content

A small collection of ten color and black-and-white photographs from George Larsen, former superintendent of the New York State Parks at Montauk. The collection includes photographs of the campgrounds at Hither Hills State Park from 1947, Montauk Point shoreline in 1955, clean up of a beached whale, Montauk Point Lighthouse in 1962, and undated aerial photographs of the dock off Navy Road in Fort Pond Bay, the Montauk Downs, and the Walking Dunes.
