Scope and Content

A small collection of three postcards and two brochures promoting Sands Motel in Montauk, NY from 1953 to 1972. Sands Motel is a family-owned business built by Abraham and Julia Hausman in 1951. The business had been passed down through generations and is now run by Diane Hausman (third generation). Many of the promotional images use family members as models, including Diane, Jacqueline, Lorraine, Richard Jr., Abe, and Julia.
