Scope and Content

Paper program of the "Historic Marking" of the site of the home of Matthew Thornton (1714-1803), signer of the Declaration of Independence. Hosted by the Topsham-Brunswick Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The home, located "off Mere Point Road, on Hagen Farm," in Brunswick, Maine, was burnt by Native Americans in 1722. The program begins with a Bugle Call and ends with the Pledge of Allegiance.
