An undated sepia-toned photo of the schooner The Railroad, owned by Bert Merriman. On the back is written: Harpswell, Maine. Bert Merriman's schooner "The Railroad" used for mackereling and other fishing in the early 1900's. We used to row out and Bert would give us a half dz. mackerel free.
