A B/W photographic view of the Bibber House in the Harpswell area.
The house was moved from Flag Island where Charles BIbber Sr., formerly had a farm. It was moved on the ice with oxen. There is a depression in the center of the island where the house stood. The Flag Island farm had cows and sent produce to Portland. All of Charles Bibber Sr.'s children were born on Flag Island.
Nathaniel Bibber owned land from Jennie Bibber's to Will Merriman and Alfretta's lands to the water on the east shore.
Bibber, Joseph, (1834-1915, son of Joseph Pinkham Bibber. Was a Harpswell carpenter. Died in Freeport. Married Clara Curit, b. 1838, came from Chebaque Island. Joseph was known as "Uncle Joe BIbber", uncle of Debra Bibber Orr, Forrest Orr's mother.
Joseph Pinkham BIbber, b. 1802, d. 1874. Married Mary Ann Bibber, b. Freeport, 1809, d 1890, daughter of Bailey Bibber and Dorothy Soule
