Description

A mission bound AP-2V-7 "Neptune" heads out over the Pacific ocean leaving the California coast in the background. It is on a routine training mission. This aircraft is specially designed for anti-submarine search and attack. It carries a crew of four officers and six enlisted men for most patrols. The back of the photo bears two stamps - "U.S. NAVAL AIR STATION BRUNSWICK, MAINE" and "RELEASED IF PUBLISHED CREDIT MUST BE GIVEN AS FOLLOWS 'OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPH U.S. NAVY.' Undated
