A B/W photographic view of the Ensign House. cc 1914. Photo-1945 Charles 'S. Ensign, Jr. & Florence Page Ensign Potts Point, south of the Auburn Colony Mrs. Ensign was the daughter of Emily DeWitt Page of the Auburn Colony. Since George Riley Johnson's big house and #18 school house, which stood on this spot, burned about 1914, this cottage was built about or after that date. Across the road is a house built by the Ensigns for their chauffeur and family, John J. Achorn
