Description

A B/W photograph of a car wreck on the Freeport cutoff. Andrew Cushing's car was in the wrong lane headed towards Brunswick. Eye witness was Charles A. Thomann of Andover, MA. Andrew Cushing, 29, of Brunswick was killed. Those injured were: J T Moser (died); Wm J Daigle; Paul Goldberg; John Lizotte; and George Cloutier, all of Gardiner. Paul Viney is the police officer in the photo. 8/22/1955
