Description

A sepia toned photo of two floats of the parade celebrating Brunswick's 150th Anniversary. Both floats are for Harvey Stetson, a store selling furniture and carpets. The float with the carpets is pulled by 1 horse while the float with furniture is pulled by a 4 horse team--this larger float has a banner which reads: "60 Years in Business. Harvey Stetson Furniture & Carpetings. 1855-1889." The 2 floats appear to be lined up in front of the Harvey Stetson store on Maine Street. The Maine Street Baptist Church appears on the left side of the photo. "R.A. Toothaker" is written on the reverse of the photo. Dated 06/13/1889.
