A sepia toned photo of the parade celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Brunswick, traveling south down Maine Street. The float in the middle of the photograph reads "Old Fashioned Loom" and features (what appears to be) a woman working an old loom. This float, according to the accompanying book published for this celebration (see Related, pg. 46), was one of a series of floats celebrating the "Early History of Brunswick." In the parade, if was preceded by a float titled "The Spinning Wheel" and it was followed by a float titled "The Minute Man." This float is passing in front of the Tontine Hotel, which stands on the far right of this photo. Dated 06/13/1889.Collection
