Description

A sepia toned photo of a float from the 150th Anniversary of Brunswick parade. Two unidentified men ride this float, representing the Androscoggin Pulp Company--the banner on the side reads: "Androscoggin Pulp Co. / Brunswick, ME / 1870 Established 1870" and "First Pulp Mill in Maine / Output & Pulp per day 1,000 [ill.] / Present Output 10,000 [ill.]." The float is decorated with paper products and carries what appear to be bundles of paper. There appears to be a large salt-box style barn behind the float to the right. Dated 06/13/1889.
