A B/W photograph of "Chapel of Our Savior", Old Bath Road. The Chapel of Our Savior is located on Old Bath Road in Brunswick, ME. In June of 1887, the Brunswick Telegraph reported: “The little chapel on the Bath Road, near the old Father Houston place, is rapidly approaching completion, and of course it will be a convenience for religious worship to people residing in the neighborhood.” The "Father Houston" the article referred to was actually Francis Heuston (1764-1858), a prominent African American farmer who was well respected in the community.
