Historic residence of the Hon. Benjamin Orr at 153 Park Row, Brunswick. The house was built about 1819. In 1846, it was the "Brunswick Seminary" and in the early 19th century it was a primary school kept by Mr. Pike, and residence of Rev. Adams, Congregational minister.
Isaac L. Skolfield, son of George and Lydia Doyle Skolfield, acquired the residence in 1871 and his son, George Lincoln Skolfield acquired the house in 1910. George Skolfield built 155-157 Park Row in 1854. Isaac's brothers, Alfred and Samuel built the double residence at 159-161 Park Row in 1858-1862. Photo dated ca. 1890.Collection
