Tested alkaline buffering agent on areas of silk for fugitive colors (none found). Tested cleaning using dry swab. Used gels with surfactants to test cleaning along PR lower corner and PL upper corner (gel is 4% agarose with 1% surfactant vulpex, turgitol, and triton-x). 5.75% agarose with 2% triton-x gel placed on embroidery foxing. A combination of pellon, blotting paper, and silicone used with distilled water under pressure to remove tidelines. The same gel used on tide lines from pellon/blotting paper/silicone sandwich.Acute Treatment

Brushed tidelines with cyclomethicone. 1:1 distilled water an 70% isopropyl alcohol with chloromine T, bleach gel, and orvus paste applied to surface. Suction platten used with three layers of hollytex as a barrier. Blotting done using surgical pads to increase rate of drying. Blotting done after all steps.

Ironed silk. Constructed sewing structure with ethafoam blocks and blueboard. Pinned silk embroidery to silk lining. Sewed around edges with silk-finish cotton thread, using backward looping stitches, 1/4" apart and 1/4" from edge.
